CAIDI (Customer Average Interruption Duration Index) measures the average outage duration, in minutes, if a customer experiences an outage. This is also known as “restoration time.” SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) measures the average outage duration for all customers served. SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) measures how often a customer can expect to experience an outage.
