Oconomowoc Utilities was founded more than 100 years ago – by the citizens of Oconomowoc. The community’s early founders voted to establish their own city-owned utility to provide light to its downtown area and to encourage economic development.

While a lot has changed, the focus of Oconomowoc Utilities has not. Today, we still offer our residents some of the lowest electric rates in the state - rates significantly lower than those in territories that are served by investor-owned utilities.

Oconomowoc Utilities also provides its customers with clean, high-quality water that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards. Oconomowoc's Wastewater Treatment Facility is state of the art and insures water quality of Oconomowoc’s many area lakes and rivers.
